Men's Tennis Shoots for Third Win in a Row Sunday at Marquette

Blue Demons square off against longtime rival with first serve at 2 p.m.
CHICAGO – The Blue Demons are heading north this weekend to square off against a BIG EAST rival while shooting for their third win in a row.
Marquette provides the opposition for coach Matt Brothers and his team on Sunday with first serve set for 2 p.m. at the Helfaer Tennis & Recreation Center.
After winning the season opener against Illinois-Chicago, DePaul (3-1) fell at Western Michigan. The men's tennis program bounced back the last two weeks with victories over Creighton and Illinois State.
Boris Spanjaard and Tamas Zador have both started out unblemished with 2-0 records in singles play. Lining up at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, Vito Tonejc is 3-1. Tripp Tuff is also 3-1 after the first four matches while Luuk Wassenaar is 2-1.
The Wassenaar/Lars Peder Minsaas tandem is unbeaten in double play at 3-0, and Spanjaard and his partner Christopher Casati are 2-0. Vito Tonejc and his older brother Fran are 3-1 in doubles competition.
Marquette comes into Sunday's showdown sporting a 3-4 record. The Golden Eagles were swept by Omaha in their season opener and responded with a sweep of their own against IUPUI.
After beating Youngstown State for its third win in a row, Marquette has lost its last two matches at Dayton and home against Northern Illinois.
