Blue Demons visit Chicago State on Sunday
CHICAGO – Three winning streaks will be on the line Sunday when DePaul men's tennis visits Chicago State for an 11:30 a.m. match at the H-F Racquet & Fitness Club in south suburban Homewood.
Top priority for coach Matt Brothers and the Blue Demons (6-2) is winning their fourth in a row and sixth of the last seven.
Current Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Player of the Week Vito Tonejc will be shooting for his seventh-straight singles victory. The junior from Zagreb, Croatia is a team-leading 7-1 with a 5-1 mark at the No. 1 position.
Two of Tonejc's teammates are aiming for their fourth consecutive singles wins---Christopher Casati and Vito's older brother Fran who is off to a 5-2 start.
Andrej and Martina Tonejc must be quite proud of their sons' combined family record of 12-3.
