Men's Tennis Spends a Weekend in Chicago

Face Cardinal Stritch on Friday, NIU Saturday and Drake on Sunday
CHICAGO – Coach Matt Brothers and his team have an ambitious schedule this weekend with three consecutive matches in the city.
DePaul (3-2) starts out with a home match Friday night against the NAIA Coaches Poll's No. 3-ranked team nationally, Cardinal Stritch from Milwaukee.
Less than 24 hours later, the Blue Demons return to Lakeshore Sport & Fitness to face a Northern Illinois team that opened the season riding a 10-match winning streak.
On Sunday, Brothers has booked a neutral-court match against Drake at the XS Tennis facility on the South Side.
Leading the team into the rugged weekend are Vito Tonejc an Tripp Tuff who are both 4-1 in singles play and have each won three in a row. Vito's older brother Fran is 3-2 while Boris Spanjaard, Tamas Zador and Luuk Wassenaar have all started out 2-1.
Two doubles teams have yet to lose a match---Christopher Casati and Spanjaard plus the Lars Peder Minsaas and Wassenaar duo. Both doubles pairs are 3-0. The Tonejc brothers are 3-2.
Cardinal Stritch (1-2) has a win over Wisconsin-Whitewater and two losses to NIU.
NIU has taken down Youngstown State, North Dakota twice, Creighton, Omaha, Marquette, Drake, Cardinal Stritch twice and Illinois-Chicago.
Drake (1-2) has beaten Illinois State and lost to NIU and Utah.
