Blue Demons Travel to Creighton for BIG EAST Matchup

CHICAGO, Ill – DePaul women's soccer will make the trek out to Omaha, Neb. for their eighth BIG EAST conference match against the Creighton Bluejays on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CT. Fans can stream the game on The BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports.
The Blue Demons (3-11-0, 1-6 BIG EAST) arrive to Omaha after earning their first BIG EAST win against Seton Hall this past Sunday. Katie Godden scored her second goal of the week off a penalty kick and Susie Soderstrom secured the 2-0 victory with a goal in the 79th minute off an assist by Freya Jupp. Goalkeeper Mollie Eriksson pocketed her second shutout of the season with 7 saves.
With 64 saves Eriksson ranks second in the BIG EAST Conference in stops through 14 games this fall while Godden ties for first in goals with six connections.
Creighton (8-2-5, 4-2-1 BIG EAST) hosts DePaul after conquering Seton Hall last Thursday 2-1. The Bluejays' victories this season include wins over North Dakota, Tulsa, Marquette, and Villanova.
Thursday's game marks the 11th all-time meeting between DePaul and Creighton. During their last meeting DePaul conquered Creighton 2-0 on Oct 21, 2021. The Blue Demons lead the series 8-2-0.
