Blue Demons Finish Two Rounds at Zach Johnson Invitational

DePaul in ninth place after 36 holes
West Des Moines, Iowa – After 36 holes at the Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday, the DePaul golf team sits in ninth place heading into Tuesday's final round. Cameron Karney and Conor Glennon led the team on the individual leaderboard.Â

Karney carded rounds of 71 (E) and 76 (+5) to finish in a group tied for 18th at five-over on the day while Glennon shot a 76 (+5) in the morning round and 77 (+6) in the afternoon circuit to head into Tuesday's round tied for 44th.

Alex Vekich finished a few shots back from Glennon at 12-over on the day in a pack tied for 48th. The sophomore fired a 78 (+7) and a 76 (+5) for a 36-hole total of 154.

Aarjav Patel and Artemiy Yalovenko sit knotted at 52nd at +13 through Monday's first two rounds. Patel recorded rounds of 77 (+6) and 78 (+7) while Yalovenko totaled scores of 80 (+9) and 75 (+4).

Paul Costello, competing as an individual, finished the first 18 holes at nine-over (80) before withdrawing from the field.

The Blue Demons are in ninth place, five strokes behind Northern Iowa in eighth place. North Dakota State leads the field at eight-under (560).Â
