The Blue Demons head East
CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer travels to Queens, N.Y. for their last regular season matchup at St. John's. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. CT and can be streamed on the BIG EAST Digital Network, presented by FloSports.
DePaul (6-6-4, 2-4-3 BIG EAST) is coming off a senior day victory, defeating Villanova 1-0. Susie Soderstrom's late goal pushed the Blue Demons ahead, giving the team three points and a chance at making the BIG EAST tournament. DePaul ranks seventh in the conference, a victory against St. Johns and a UConn win against Seton Hall would secure the Blue Demons the sixth and final spot.
St. John's (9-5-3, 4-4-1 BIG EAST) currently stands in fifth place in the conference rankings. The Red Storm plays host to DePaul after 3-0 win against Marquette on Sunday. So far this season, St. John's has defeated programs like Butler, Creighton and Harvard.
DePaul leads the all-time series 5-3-1. The last meeting between the two programs took place on Sept. 26, 2021, when the Blue Demons lost 1-0.
