Blue Demons take on the Lions at Wish Field Thursday

CHICAGO – DePaul women's soccer begins a two-match homestand at Wish Field when Lindenwood travels to Lincoln Park, Thursday, Sept. 12. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT, with live streaming available on FloSports and live stats on StatBroadcast.

The Blue Demons (1-4-1) enter the match following a 1-0 shutout victory against cross-town rival UIC on Thursday, Sept. 5. DePaul extended its winning streak against UIC to four, having secured victories in each of the last four years.

Lindenwood (4-3) is seeking its third consecutive victory after defeating Austin Peay State and Southern Illinois in its last two outings. In the Lions' 1-0 win over SIU, Lindenwood was outshot 15-6 but recorded four more saves in goal than the Salukis.

DePaul Debrief

Last time out, senior Schuyler Riese netted her first goal of the season from a set-piece delivered by junior Nahla Dominguez.
Dominguez earned her first assist of the season.
Graduate student Elena Milam received her second career BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week honor for her shutout against UIC.
Milam recorded her second shutout of the season, making five saves against the Flames.
Six Blue Demons (Devona, Soderstrom, Riese, Milam, Fjeldsted, Jamie) played 90 minutes against UIC, the most in any match this season.
Riese extends her 90-minute match streak to six games.
Katelyn Jamie made her first career start against the Flames.
Three different Blue Demons (Gardner, Jupp, Riese) have scored through the first six matches of the season.
Briley Hill and Lea Eisenring lead DePaul with nine and eight shots on goal, respectively.

Dave Musso is in his seventh season as head coach of the Lions.
Lindenwood was ranked 9th in the Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Poll.
The Lions finished the 2023 season with a 3-13-1 record, securing victories over Chicago State, Murray State, and Little Rock.
Senior defender Eyglo Thorsteinsdottir was recognized as a player to watch in the OVC.
Seven different Lions have scored this season.
Mackenzie Compton leads the team with seven shot attempts.
Anna Johnson, Georgia Pardalos, and Compton lead the team with two goals each.
Sophomore Jessica Dodd leads the team with 611 minutes played.

Series History

DePaul faces Lindenwood for the second time in program history.
In its first season of Division I play, the Lions fell to the Blue Demons 3-1 on Sept. 15, 2022, at Wish Field.
Senior Susie Soderstrom scored one of the three goals in their first and only meeting.
Current Blue Demons Olivia Beam and Elena Milam each logged 90 minutes against the Lions in 2022.
