Blue Demons head to Milwaukee Saturday night
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – DePaul women's soccer looks to stay unbeaten against Marquette in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2014-15 on Saturday, Oct. 4, when the Blue Demons travel north on I-94. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. CT at Valley Fields, with coverage on ESPN+ and Matt Menzl on the call.
It's a Chicago-to-Milwaukee doubleheader of sorts, with the Cubs and Brewers also opening their first postseason series on Saturday.
Looking to rebound in its first of three consecutive BIG EAST road contests, DePaul (3-7-1, 0-2-1 BIG EAST) aims to replicate the success it found against Marquette in the mid-2010s, when it recorded three straight results over a two-season span. The Blue Demons have secured just three results across 10 meetings since then but will look to build on last year's hard-fought draw as momentum for Saturday's test.
Marquette (5-3-2, 1-0-2 BIG EAST) enters Saturday coming off a 3-1 win over St. John's on Oct. 1. Senior Josie Bieda opened the scoring before freshman Clare Shea doubled the advantage, and junior Capri Oliviero added her first career goal to cap the performance.
