Men’s Soccer Hosts Providence in Home Finale Saturday

Blue Demons meet Friars at 3 p.m. on Senior Day
CHICAGO – DePaul men's soccer returns home to Wish Field Saturday, Nov. 1 for the final time on the 2025 season when Providence visits Lincoln Park for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Blue Demons will honor the program's eight graduating seniors prior to the start of the match.
Christian Baumgartner, Clayton Brooks, Drew Clark, Ethan Gordon, Tyson Amoo-Mensah, Sam Moore, Ryan Thomas and George Wyatt will be honored as part of DePaul's senior day festivities.
Admission to all DePaul soccer matches is free. Saturday's match will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Demon Doings
DePaul sits at 2-7-6 overall and 0-5-1 in BIG EAST play heading into the season's closing stretch. The Blue Demons are coming off a 4-1 defeat at Marquette but have remained competitive throughout the campaign with nine of their 15 matches decided by one goal or fewer, including six draws. The group continues to show balance and persistence, staying organized while generating consistent pressure in the attacking third.
Nationally, DePaul ranks among the country's most active offensive teams, standing 22nd in Division I in shots per game (15.1) and 22nd in corner kicks per match (6.27). The Blue Demons have outshot opponents 226–181 this season and hold a 94–53 edge in corners, evidence of their ability to sustain pressure and earn set-piece opportunities.
Noeh Hernandez sits third in the BIG EAST and 22nd nationally in shots per game (3.21), while Joon Han and Luca Iaccino have each converted multiple goals, including a perfect 1.000 mark from the penalty spot. Jayden Waski continues to drive the team's playmaking, ranking fifth in the BIG EAST in total assists (4).
In goal, graduate keeper Santiago Davila has started 11 matches and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST with 3.27 saves per game, totaling 36 stops and a .632 save percentage. Despite a tough slate that has featured multiple ranked opponents, DePaul continues to show resilience, pushing games deep and maintaining one of the most aggressive attacking profiles in the league.
Scouting Providence
The Friars sit in a three-way tie for fourth in the league standings with a 5-6-2 overall record including a 3-2-1 conference mark. Last time out, Providence battled to a scoreless draw with UConn. Three Friars own three or more goals on the season led by senior forward Sam Montalto with 11 points (4G, 3A). Ryan Carney has started 13 games in goal for the Friars and owns a .700 save percentage and 1.17 goals against average. Craig Stewart is in his 14th season leading the Providence program.

The Blue Demons and Friars collide for the 13th time in the series history Saturday afternoon and first time in Chicago since the 2022 season. Providence leads the series 6-2-4 and have claimed the last two matchups.
