DePaul to compete in nine tournaments, begin at Western Michigan
KALAMAZOO, Mich. – DePaul men's tennis head coach Matt Brothers announced the Blue Demons' 2025 fall tournament schedule, Thursday afternoon. DePaul will compete in nine tournaments this fall, welcoming two freshmen and two transfers to a young but experienced core that finished 13-11 last spring. The "Band of Brothers" will look to build on that momentum as they prepare for a fall schedule packed with high-level competition.
The Blue Demons open the slate this weekend at the Western Michigan/Vredevelt Invitational in Kalamazoo, Sept. 19-20. They will then travel to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Championships, Sept. 20-25, hosted at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The team follows with a split weekend at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and the Notre Dame Invitational, set for Sept. 26-28.
October play begins in Chicago as DePaul hosts the ITA Midwest Regional for the first time from Oct. 16-20, marking its second ITA event of the fall. Later that month, the Blue Demons head south for their only ITF-sanctioned event, the Futures M15 in Harlingen, Texas, from Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
November rounds out the fall with three national tournaments. DePaul will send athletes to both the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego, Calif., and the ITA Sectional Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich., Nov. 6-9. The Blue Demons will then conclude their fall campaign at the NCAA Individual Championships in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 11-16.
Opening Act: WMU Invitational
DePaul begins its fall slate this weekend at the Western Michigan/Vredevelt Invitational, a two-day event hosted at the Sorensen Courts in Kalamazoo, Mich. The Blue Demons produced one of their strongest weekends of the fall a year ago, tallying 16 total victories including 10 singles wins and six doubles triumphs. Tobias Leitner led the way with five victories, while Andy Hadziabdic added multiple wins in his Blue Demon debut. This year's field will likely include Butler, Cleveland State, Youngstown State, and host Western Michigan, with match times to be determined.
