Demon Doings
The Blue Demons return to Wintrust Arena for the first time in 2026 looking to snap a five-game skid after a 75–58 setback at St. John's on New Year's Day.
Against the Red Storm, redshirt freshman Alayna West led DePaul with 14 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, while adding six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 20 minutes of action. West has recorded multiple steals in 10 of 16 games this season.
Graduate forward Michelle Ojo reached double figures for the fourth time this season with 12 points, shooting an efficient 6-for-7 (.857) from the field to match the highest single-game shooting percentage by a Blue Demon this year. Kate Novik also finished in double figures with 10 points to go along with six rebounds and three steals, marking her 11th double-figure outing in 15 games this season.
Novik, a junior from Belarus, leads DePaul in scoring (12.0 ppg), rebounding (6.7 rpg) and assists (3.1 apg) this season.
As a team, the Blue Demons outrebounded the Johnnies 33–29, just the third time this season DePaul has won the battle on the glass. DePaul ranks second in the BIG EAST with 14.0 offensive rebounds per game and has posted five games with 15 or more second-chance points. Against St. John's, the Blue Demons collected 15 offensive boards and converted them into 11 second-chance points.
Scouting Providence
