Blue Demons take on Montana State and Boise State
BOISE, Idaho – DePaul men's tennis continues its road swing this weekend with matches against Montana State (3-7) and No. 61 Boise State (12-5) on March 13-14 at Boas Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho. The Blue Demons face the Bobcats on Friday at 2:30 p.m. CT before taking on the Broncos at 7 p.m. CT, looking to regroup after consecutive road losses last week in Houston against Rice and UAB.
Before its current skid, DePaul put together one of its strongest stretches of the spring with three straight victories. That run included the program's first BIG EAST win of the season over Butler, its first ranked win since 2015 with a victory over No. 62 Cal Poly, and a 4-0 sweep of then-9-3 Army. The win over Cal Poly also marked head coach Matt Brothers' third ranked victory at the helm.
Transfers have continued to lead the way in singles play for the Blue Demons. Graduate student Alejandro Gandini and sophomore Sebastian Medica pace the team with six dual singles wins apiece. In doubles, DePaul is still searching for consistency, posting a 6–22 record in dual-match play while earning the doubles point twice during its three-match win streak.
