Three-game set begins with doubleheader Friday in Storrs

CHICAGO – DePaul softball travels to Storrs, Conn., March 25–27 for a three-game BIG EAST series against UConn.

Due to expected inclement weather, the series will now begin with a doubleheader on Friday. First pitch for game one is set for 12 p.m. CT, with game two scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. The series finale will be played on Sunday, with first pitch scheduled for 11 a.m.

Demon Doings

DePaul enters the weekend 12–19 overall with a 3–6 record in BIG EAST play after dropping a 2-1 midweek matchup to crosstown foe UIC on Tuesday afternoon.
The Blue Demons rank second in the BIG EAST and 33rd nationally with 54 stolen bases this season.
DePaul ranks third in the league with 227 hits this season.
Jolie Adams leads the team with a .403 batting average, while Chelsea Parker is batting .375 and leads the team in hits, home runs, and RBIs.
Sophomore right-hander Hannah Messer leads the pitching staff with a 3.95 ERA and 45 strikeouts this season.

Scouting UConn

UConn is 10–22 overall in 2026 with a 3–3 record in BIG EAST play.
The Huskies have faced a pair of ranked opponents this season in No. 10 Florida State and most recently a three-game series with then-No. 9 Arkansas.
The lineup features three hitters batting above .300, led by Cat Petteys at .358, followed by Emma Willers at .333 and Savannah Ring at .302.
Caprice Bohmer leads the pitching staff with 71 strikeouts in 20 appearances this season.
Laura Valentino is in her seventh season as head coach at UConn.

Series Stuff

DePaul leads the all-time series against UConn 21–15.
The Blue Demons will look to snap a seven-game losing streak against the Huskies this weekend.
