Franny Cerny tallies two goals
CHICAGO - DePaul secured its first BIG EAST victory over conference foe Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon, 3-0, in South Orange, New Jersey.
Senior captain Franny Cerny tallied two goals against the Pirates increasing her season total to six goals. She notched the first goal in the 39th minute, off a well-placed cross from sophomore transfer Jessica Lazo, heading it over the goalkeeper's hands. The second goal would come in the 73rd minute off a ball from Mary Tierney.
Cerny lead the BIG EAST in goals last year with 10 and has already cut that in half with eight games remaining on the season.
Madeline Frick would notch an insurance goal in the 83rd minute and seal the deal for the Blue Demons, her second of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Mollie Eriksson made three saves against Seton Hall, recording her fifth shutout of the season.

DePaul will hit the road again next week for a contest against the Georgetown Hoyas on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. CT, then return home for their BIG EAST home opener against Creighton on Sunday at 1 p.m.
