Game One: DePaul 0, Villanova 8 (Six innings)
Both sides got runners into scoring position in the opening inning, but it was the Wildcats that brought the first run across in the second frame. Kelsey White tallied a base hit, Grace Reed reached on a fielder's choice, and a double from Madison Ostrowski sent Reed home to score.
A two-RBI home run from Maranda Runco in the fifth, a two-RBI double from Madison Ostrowski in the sixth, and a final three-RBI home run from Ava Franz put the game out of reach and the Wildcats took an 8-0 victory in six innings.
Game Two: DePaul 1, Villanova 11 (Five innings)
A solo home run from catcher Ava Mahnken in the leadoff spot immediately earned Villanova a one-run advantage, and an RBI-single from White and three-RBI home run from Brooklyn Ostrowski brought the lead to five runs for the Wildcats.
DePaul got one back in the second frame as Kelly Beaupre was walked, Blount hit a perfect bunt to reach first, Carly Alvers laid down a sacrifice bunt, and freshman Zoe Levine scored Beaupre with a sacrifice fly.
